About the founder, Uncle Ben Hello friends, my name is Kimbowa Ben. Young people call me Uncle Ben. I greet you and thank you for coming to our Web. We hope you read something that will inspire you about the kind of work we do here and hopefully move you either to PRAY, GIVE or PROMOTE this noble cause. I have the greatest honour of my life; to share in the privilege of working with and for the Children and Young people. I have been working with young people 6 years now. Nothing fulfils me; nothing satisfies me like being in position to give myself ably to the cause of the children and young people of my Country. Faith is the foundation of the fulfillment of every Vision. I believe that at the centre of humanity and human pursuit, life is more important than positions, nations, races, denominations and politics. I am a Bible believing Christian. This is what inspires me in my work. We fail or succeed in our stewardship of life (and the lives of others) in proportion to how convinced we are that life belongs to God. As people both individual and groups, we can do something to make our world a better place. Globally, we either directly or indirectly face poverty, disease, moral decay, HIV/AIDS, corruption and war as vices to man’s root problem of human greed and selfishness. Africa has been hard hit by these crises with irreparable damage. I am grateful that out there we have men and women that are laboring amidst lack, resistance and risk of death to genuinely extend a hand and save yet another child and whole communities from extinction by bringing hope and courage in situations of dire hopelessness and chaos in countless rural and urban communities globally. The challenge of our children and young people today is that many have been born into these miserable circumstances with literary no choice. How you can provide help. There are many ways in which to give significant short and long-term support to our work; ·As a Permanent Sponsor – with a committed monthly donation of $30 or more in any of our 6 programme areas, you become our partner for the young people in Uganda. ·As a Child/Student Sponsor – by sponsoring an orphan child or a needy student you help keep at least a child in school and directly get involved in shaping their future ·As a Fundraiser – by helping us raise financial support and material resources, you help keep work going. ·As a Co-founder - by establishing your own foundation under the umbrella of Gideons Youth Organization, you can provide long lasting, effective help for the children and youths in Uganda who are depending on our support.
